Bring back the HIPPY SIXTIES ! ! !

This workshop was a blast for 3 days

the garden becomes a sea of blue

and what are these contraptions ?

Shibori textile artist Jane Callender from the UK that explains it

even the carport became a hype of industry with the ATASDA group

Indigo vats

I started my silk & wool sarong piece with some stitching for resist

here the piece is dyed in weak Indigo solution, then tied with string

after dipping in the strong Indigo dye

VOILA ! patterns are revealed after rinsing, removing stitches & string
the sarong is folded over the line to show how it will look for a caftan
